Disadvantages of Watching Television

Nowadays we have a greater amount of technology than we did in the past. Today we have a lot of media in every place. According to my research in the class, I’ve found 72% agree that the television is the most common media all over the world. In fact, people love to watch many different programs on television. Even though a lot of people like to watch TV, I believe that watching TV has three disadvantages.
The first disadvantage of watching TV is its negative effects on people’s health. Addiction to watching TV causes problems in a person’s eyes and causes people to gain weight. As we know, the light of the TV is harmful to our eyes, especially if a person sits very close to the TV. However, a lot of children sit in front of TV for a long time. According to Nikki, “The TV’s light damages the watcher’s eyes.” She continued by saying, “and it’s a waste of time.” However, Asma said, “There is no danger to the people who watch TV a lot.” Actually I agree with Nikki. Out of my classmates, 88% agreed that the TV’s light affects ore’s eyes. I think the best distance between the TV and the watcher is at least three meters. Also, the most doctors’ opinion is that a person’s head should be at the same level as the TV height. The other negative affect on a person’s health is weight gain. People who watch TV without exercising naturally gain weight. Both Nikki and Asma agreed and said, "There is a possibility to gain weight more when TV watchers eat while they are watching TV because they pay attention to the TV. So they often feel stuffed later." On the other hand, "It's not necessary that people who watch TV gain weight because they can exercise while they are watching by using a lot of machines," Baito added. So, watching TV can negatively affect ore’s health.
The next problem is sleep deprivation. TV helps people to stay until midnight. Always there are interesting programs broadcast at midnight, so people prefer to wait for these programs instead sleeping. According to the survey that I did it in the class, I've found 77.7% agree that the people who watch TV a lot have sleep deprivation. Also, many studies find that adults should sleep seven hours a day. Sleep deprivation is a physical problem, and there are other problems. For example, when I spend more time to see the TV in the night, I can’t wake up early in the next morning.
Programs' effect is another disadvantage. Certain kinds of programs affect our behavior. Some people like to watch violent TV shows and movies that have a lot of action. Scientists found a link between violent programs and aggressive behavior. Children who watch violent movies are more likely to argue with teachers and fight with other students. In contrast, violent programs affect adults less than children because adults are wiser than children. Most people in this class decided that the violent shows affect children in different ways. Asma said, "The children who watch these shows are doing what they see." She continued by adding, " also, they are aggressive  and more likely to fight or argue with others." In addition, Baito said, "Yes, violent shows teach children to be violent and they instill the instinct to fight." So, some of the programs affect us negatively.
The last disadvantage of watching to much TV is can lead a lack of communication between people. Addiction to watching TV is like a prison because it keeps people in front of TV at all the time. Television is destroying family life. Now families just sit like robots in front of the boob tube, the television, instead of talking or playing games together. Some families even eat dinner in front of the TV screen. There's little communication between parents and their children or even between husband and wife, except maybe an argument about whether to watch Monday Night Football or ER, a show that women like. Actually I think TV is a disaster that destroys the relationships between family members if they don’t use it correctly.
In conclusion, we must avoid becoming addicted to watching TV to protect our health and avoid damaging our bodies because watching too much TV affects our health by damaging the eyes or the whole body. Also, we have to get enough rest and not let children watch violent shows by choosing programs that are appropriate for their ages. Last but not least, we should let children go out and see the world and help them to be effective in their society. In addition, we have to teach our children the disadvantages of watching TV.

How to Prepare for a Job Interview

If you want to prepare for a job interview, you should follow these suggestions. First, on the night before the interview day, you must go to bed early because when you have enough rest in the night, you will be able to wake up fast in the morning. Second, you should wear a nice suit because it may make the interviewer accept you, welcome you and he will be very happy to meet you. Third, you should go to the interview building at least fifteen minutes before the interview starts because you don't know what will happen on the road if the bus will be late that day. After that, you have to ask the people in the company or search online about the history of the company because sometimes the interviewer will ask you "what you know about the company where you want to work." The Educational Systems in Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

There are similarities and differences between the educational systems in Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Although, all students wear uniforms when they go to school, but the color changes according to the level of school for girls. For example, the girls in the elementary school in Oman wear pink uniforms, whereas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia they wear gray uniform. In addition, the girls wear blue uniform in middle and high school in Oman. In contrast, in K.S.A, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the girls in high school wear brown uniforms, but they wear blue like the Omanis in the middle school. Second, there are extracurricular activities at school for boys in K.S.A. For example, they have sports teams such as soccer and volleyball. On the other hand, in Oman there aren’t any extracurricular activities at school. Third, in Oman, just as K.S.A, the parents are active in the school. For instance, fathers go to school and ask about their sons. Also, mothers go to school and ask about their daughters and what they need to success in school. In contrast, in Oman the students in the elementary and middle schools have two breaks during the day at school like K.S.A. While the students in K.S.A in high schools have two breaks during the day at school, the students in Oman have only one break. To sum up, the educational systems in Oman and K.S.A are very similar, but there are slight differences between them.

a Place That is Special to Me

My favorite place is my house. The design of my house is traditional. The design is taken from Omani architecture. It is a wonderful place where I live. In front of my house, you can see big trees in straight lines. Under each tree, you can see small, beautiful flowers. They are pink, white, and dark red. Near my house, you can see a small park. The park is full of green, huge trees. The trees surround the whole park. Also, the park is always crowded. In addition, children enjoy playing there with their parents. People who live there are friendly and they are helpful. Also, they give you anything you need if you don't have it. All in all, my lovely house is very beautiful, quiet and full of people. It a wonderful place to have fun in.

How to Kill a Houseplant

If you want to kill your houseplant, you should follow these steps. First, you can bring goats and cows to your house. For example, goats and cows can eat plants quickly because they eat grass. Before you bring the goats and cows, you should ask for permission because they make noise and the neighbors will be angry. Second, you shouldn't water the plants. Plants need water twice a week, so you can leave your home for three months. After that, the plants will be dry. If you don't leave your home, you can water the plants hot with water, coffee or soda. After that, you will see the plant die. Third, you can set your house on fire. For instance, you can fill the entire house with gasoline and light it. Also, you can turn on your oven on during your vacation. In conclusion, these steps show how to kill a houseplant.

a FISHING TRIP

One day, a grandfather decided to go on a fishing trip with his grandson's Tom. In the afternoon before sunset, they took a small wood boat. Before they left, the grandfather saw Tom's dog running fast. After that, they took it with them. When they were in the river, the grandfather threw his line in the water. He wore a brown hat with his glasses on it. Also, he wore dark, green trousers and a green shirt. He had wrinkles on his face and his hands. Tom's dog was brown and white. It tried to catch it's reflection in the water. However the grandfather was a smoker. Tom kept going when his grandfather tried to catch a fish. Tom wore a green shirt like his grandfather. Tom sat in front his grandfather and his dog. The dog sat beside Tom's grandfather. On the back of the boat, there was a small ring made of metal. So the grandfather and the dog sat on the back of the boat because several waves made the boat rock. Although, the water seems like a yellow because the sunset reflected the light in the water. Finally, they returned to their home before the night.
