The Educational Systems in Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

There are similarities and differences between the educational systems in Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Although, all students wear uniforms when they go to school, but the color changes according to the level of school for girls. For example, the girls in the elementary school in Oman wear pink uniforms, whereas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia they wear gray uniform. In addition, the girls wear blue uniform in middle and high school in Oman. In contrast, in K.S.A, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the girls in high school wear brown uniforms, but they wear blue like the Omanis in the middle school. Second, there are extracurricular activities at school for boys in K.S.A. For example, they have sports teams such as soccer and volleyball. On the other hand, in Oman there aren’t any extracurricular activities at school. Third, in Oman, just as K.S.A, the parents are active in the school. For instance, fathers go to school and ask about their sons. Also, mothers go to school and ask about their daughters and what they need to success in school. In contrast, in Oman the students in the elementary and middle schools have two breaks during the day at school like K.S.A. While the students in K.S.A in high schools have two breaks during the day at school, the students in Oman have only one break. To sum up, the educational systems in Oman and K.S.A are very similar, but there are slight differences between them.

  3. Hi, Qais! :-)
I have a question. Do all high school students or middle school students in your country wear the uniform of the same color?
