The Person Whom I Admire

            Admiring a person is a good way to reach your ambition and develop it. Most people admire someone who has made a difference in their life. I admire Sultan Qaboos, the Sultan of Oman because he has affected my life and it has changed for the better. There are three reasons why admire him.

                     The first reason is his wisdom. Sultan Qaboos is an educated person who likes to read a lot. This has made him a wise ruler. He looks at thing in different way. For example, our country rich of oil and natural gas. The Sultan in my country has the whole power in the country. So, people want from the Sultan Qaboos to raise their salary. However, he told the government to raise their salaries a little bit because if they raise their salaries more than he said, they will face another problem such as the price of rice will go over. In that case, when the world had problem with going down the economy two years ago, our country was not affected. Another thing shows his wisdom is on the natural disaster. For instance, four years ago our country faced a hurricane for the first time and the government did what it can do. However, because it was the first time our country face a hurricane, the government faced some problems to deal with it. After the hurricane, Sultan Qaboos ordered to build protection dams in some places and the dams were very big and very high. In addition, the people asked themselves why he ordered to build these big dams. Last year, another hurricane hit our country for the second time. The big dams were filled and the people saw the benefits of building these dams. We have benefited from these dams in protection and storing the water to use it in the future.  These are the impacts of Sultan Qaboos wisdom.     

The second reason is his treatment for his nation. Everyone in our country respect our Sultan because his treatment to his people is so wonderful. He does not distinguish between older people and young people in the treatment. For instance, one time each year he has been going out to each city and stay for ten days in each of them. He has a camp in each of them in order to be close from his people. Also, he did this to listen to what they are wanted and complaining. One day a child came and the Sultan stood up for the kid and he wanted to tell him a secret. So, the Sultan sat and the kid started to talk close to his ear. Another example, when Sultan Qaboos ruled Oman in 1970, older people came to congratulate Sultan Qaboos and to tell him that they will help him to build this country. One of the old men couldn’t stand up to greet Sultan Qaboos. So, Sultan Qaboos went to greet him by himself. These are some examples of our Sultan shows his treatment and respectful for his people.

            The last reason is his kindness for his people. Every year Sultan Qaboos have been doing lots of thing shows his kindness for his nation. For example, two years ago, he forgave 4567 citizens who got a loan from a bank by paying to the banks from his own money. Also, he ordered to release prisoners who had a good conduct in the prison and who did not do anything bad in his life as a prisoner. In addition, last year, he did amazing things everyone was surprised from that because in 2010 he was ruled Oman for forty years and he became an emperor. Then he gave each freshman student in Sultan Qaboos University a new laptop for free from his own money. Also, he gave the retired people double their salary for a month. These things show his kindness and the people very happy about that.
          In conclusion, these are many things that people like them in other people and that would be the first point to change their life forever. Our leader, Sultan Qaboos, is the one who I admire him so much because of his wisdom, treatment and kindness. Also, my point of view is that you should put someone in your life to look for him.
